Hi, has anybody any tips on replacing the kick start return spring? I can't manage to get the new spring on the shaft.....is there an easy way of achieving this. Thanks, Paul, Sherpa T Model 124.

I'm afraid there is no easy way.Brute strength and perseverance are the key.
A strong pair of long nose pliers and twist the spring around the shaft until you can slide the spring through the hole in the centre of the shaft.
Not easy.

Cheers, the point nosed pliers I've tried are maybe too small.....I'll look for some bigger ones.

Finally got it fitted....wasn't easy but persevered. Managed to stretch the spring enough and then push it in with a screwdriver.....job well done.
