  1. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll go though everything.
  2. Thanks for the reply Stork. The plug I am running is one step cooler than the plug I have seen recommended (I am running the NGK BP6 rather than the BP5). Would cooler plugs help this situation? What about aviation fuel?
  3. Hi Dan, I looked over the ignition and there are 3 wires coming from the pickup to the CDI module. 1 is a ground and the other 2 come from the pickup itself. Are these the 2 wires you switched over?
  4. My Armstrong CMT310 with the Hiro 323cc engine starts pinging about 30 minutes into a ride. I am running premium fuel with an octane booster and an NGK BP6ES plug. The ignition is a Kokusan CDI, can the timing be adjusted with this ignition? All I can find in the hand book is to center the screws in the slots on the stator backing plate. Anyone have any ideas to try? I have a spare CDI unit and have swapped out the original but stil have the same problem. Rick
  5. had a first ride on the bike and heard some pinging after 30 minutes of riding, going to drain fuel and try again, but does anyone know the timing settings for the 323cc engine?
  6. sorry forgot to add that I am in British Columbia, Canada.
  7. I have not had a chance to really give the bike a going over but the first items look to be front and rear sprockets and chain. I found Talon Engineering, is there any other parts sources for Armstrongs?
  8. just purchased a Can Am (Armstrong) CMT310 with the 323cc Hiro engine. I understand that Hiro was purchased by Aprilia, is there still parts available for these engines? Or for Armstrongs? Rick
  9. Thanks Woody, the plug is dry when I remove it.
  10. my m182 has a threaded plug on the bottom of the rear silencer, my parts book calls it a "filler plug". Is this for stuffing packing in?
