  1. Had exactly the same problem with my son's 4rt. Turned out to be faulty lanyard switch. Good luck !
  2. I had the same problem with mine and, unfortunately, wasn't able to source any from anywhere else so had to buy a complete kit again.
  3. My lad went from a Beta mini trial to a Rev50 4 speed and cable clutch when he was 9. Made a big difference with what he could ride. The only real "issue" was the lever span reach. He was fine pulling the lever in but he struggled to reach it once it was "out". Taught him to ride with fine throttle control though ! From that he went to an Evo 80 big wheel, then a 125. Never had a problem wit any of them.
  4. Took me a few years to get the hang of it all having ridden road bikes for 30 years before....and I'm still not that great ! I got into as I got fed up with chasing around after my son...and it's one of the best things I have done. My problem was, and still is, approaching things too fast....my throttle only seemed to go one way ! As others have advised, don't worry about being 'last' or your score but set yourself some realistic targets. I remember the first time I scored less than 100 !! I still have some really bad days and laps....but they are now fewer than the good ones ! I do it for fun...so if I'm still smiling at the end then I'm a winner !
  5. Gary, Have a look at Lockton Insurance, they do an "off road" policy that covers storage (ie in the garage) and transport insurance. Cheers Kevin
  6. Hi, I ran my son's Beta 50 on a 70:1 mix and do the same with his Evo 80. Had no problems but always use Super Unleaded. Kevin
  7. Hi, I bought a Dave Cooper rack earlier this year. They were great to deal with as they advised which rack type I'd need (for a people carrier), he also supplied number board etc and delivery was within a few days. Rack is simple to fit and use and I'm really impressed with it. Only disadvantage is I keep hitting my shins on it when I load my sons bike into back of the car !!!
