  1. i am currently tackeling this mod as we speak - just popped in for a cuppa i cant believe the amount of glue on the plates , its shocking i had a plate with the friction fibers hardly visable on one half looks loads better now its clean im a bit afraid of the flatting down on the tabs ,but then if u dont try you will never know?? ill just take it easy and use a file instead of the dremel cheers for the info - its obviously helping lots of us out!!
  2. i bought a set of hebo boots and rode with them 3 times they look completely knackered all the outer has cracked and has peeled away what an appaling boot always washed with mild soap and waxed after drying but they are still poor quality even tho i have tried to lok after them , they also leak like a sieve will bin these and avoid hebo in the future not impressed at all!
  3. I always seem to find beta have bag loads more torque and tend to feel more planted tried my mates sherco and found it very snappy comparing the two I think I will prob stick with beta as I feel it's a bit more to my riding style

    Rev 3

just a quicky as above read tghe info and the best method i found is a reverse bleed a seringe from the local farmers depo or a vet and some windscreen washer tube tends to fit nicely becarefull of the clutch nipple if ur doing it as mine is 'ye olde metric' (imperial)
  5. ryan young dvd is well worth the money its worth watching it all - i noticed i need to set my bars/ leavers better , and the explination on slow wheelies has given me something to practice! a good dvd watched 3 times since it arrived last week - and i ve never got time for tv!!
  6. for all that wanted to know including myself! this is in a 1996 N reg Vauxhall Combo it fits without compressing the shocks
  7. Cheers mate thats all i needed to hear! now got to go buy that van
  8. I too am awaiting a pic of a trials bike fitted in a combo i have a 1996 N plate lined up for a good price , but will not purchase untill i can prove it will fit my bike! 2005 Beta Rev 3 any help would be much apreciated. Thanks in advance Pete
  9. just to add to this topic - alot of people look into trailers as i did , then found out AS my license was after 1 JAN 1997 - you cannot TOW a trailer without taking a test and a trails bike tends to attract attention from mr plod! easy i though so looked into it its a fooking 3 day course ! to tow a poxy trailer , you have to learn all the caravan bull and for what - to tow your trailer around to events- as the day i buy a caravan will be the day i will also be admitted to the loony bin! I am buying a van - hoping to convince my bro into trials then the van will be 1/2 the price plus you have a riding buddy. just looking at alternative SMALL vans as T4's are a lot of cash in Devon due to the Surfers colt following!
  10. as above - the powerball i mean! basically i have just sufferd a massive tare of a ligament in my knee and have been having physio for aboutr a month to cure it , ligament /tendon damage takes ages to heal but can be speeded up by a sports physio and ultra sound - (no not the baby thing ) i thought it was a load of crap but from entering the physio on crutchs not being able to put any pressure on the leg and walking out without crutches an hour later i think what they did helped. they gave me some gel called BIOFreeze - it cost about
  11. Thanks scorpa - will bear this in mind - once i have my balance and tackaling small obsticals down to a tee ill look at joining up!
  12. Hi all just joined the site as i have just bought a trials bike and i am looking to gain some tips and advice on riding i have transisioned from road bikes - to enduro - Now to trials due to a knee injury from riding the enduro bike my bike is as follows its a late reg -2004 early 05 BetaRev3 but has the 06 graphics - ive been told the stator and CDI have been renewed (which is a good thing on the 04) and it has a Flywheel weight to tame it down a touch it does look to be very well loked after and i have been assured of the full history of the bike from the previous owner - only used for yellow trials at the most . anyways im based in Barnstaple so will look into doing stuff locally any info or riding buddys would be appreciated! Bye for now Pete (Corty)
