  1. It is possible - Air box and carb out, right hand rear shock off, breather tube and connector at back of mag cover off. Feed the exhaust in from the rear (side) so the exhaust front end sort of loops around the right hand part of the frame behind the engine (triangular part with the footrests) so it can hang hooked on to this part of the frame resting on the back of the mag cover. Now feed the exhaust in to position clockwise so the front part just sneaks through the gap between the barrell and frame (it should just fit through but is very tight on clearance). Now the main body of the exhaust should be above the head but will be rotated as the front part will be down beside the right of the engine instead of in front. Ease the whole exhaust forward and rotate until the part that goes into the barrell can just pass in front of the front tubes. Its now in position if you are lucky.
  2. Steel 40mm smoked finish stantions are correct for the year and someone has painted the lower leg white. These are Marzocchi forks, though, and are very good. Steve
  3. Ben In the gearbox there are two split needle roller bearings under one of the gears on each of the two layshafts. From what you descrbe I would think that at least one of these may have failed. Unfortunately it is a complete strip of the box to get at these to repair (and any other subsequent damage to gears). These bearings failing would not be as a results of what you were riding at the time but just the age of the bike and the bearings reaching the end of their life. I have just replaced these bearings as a precaution in both of my son's bikes, and they are 09 and 11 bikes. Cheers Steve
  4. Ben Have a look at the kickstart idler gear, which is the one that the kickstart gear meshes with when you start the bike and runs continuously behind the clutch basket. You will find that some of the teeth have been damaged when you operated the kickstart with the bike running resulting in it rattling like a bag of spanners. Steve
  5. Camborne Redruth MCC are scheduled to hold a Trial at St Allen on 16th Sept. Web site is www.camborneandredruthmotorclub.com. The regs will be posted a few weeks before. You will be most welcome. Steve
  6. You may have put the floats in upside down. Check that the pins are at the bottom. Steve
