  1. I would just like to add neon surge has the best avatar of all time ron 'the hedgehog' Jeremy is a legend!!!! On a more serious note, I hope that the companies keep at least 5 companies, I wasn't lucky enough to witness the era of hundreds of bike manufacturers, but at the moment 5 bikes feels like enough to choose from. cheers from olly
  2. Cheers for the advice guys, but I never had any intention of boycotting my exams for the trial, just wondered if any one else is in the same position. Heath, I will have to come out with you when you get the new to, and as for the girls they can wait for a month, exams are more important! cheers again from olly
  3. The trials central trial on the 30th of May, is just before the majority of my final GCSE exams. I will not be allowed to ride tthe event, because I will be 'revising'! Did the organisers of the trials realise that such a clash was apparent, and our there any other 16 year olds out there about to take their GCSE's that also cannot ride the trials? Sorry just wondering thats all cheers from olly
  4. What does Fujigas wear goggle wise, because he seems to have a face mask that clips on to his helmet and covers his entire face like a fighter pilots mask and goggles. Could be worth a try if u could find some where that stocks them. I think they are oakleys too. Cheers from Olly
  5. Every year, there is a trial that is put on by mendip vale mcc. It is a team trial as you said, and is really well organised. The sections vary from most being easy, and some easy clubman, to 1 or 2 difficult sections. The event is done in teams of ability, and each team has a rider from each class, to make it as fair as possible. I find that it really helped me the first couple of times, coz it was me riding with experts that even by watching them and them giving me hints, I was able to improve my ridin. Team trials are a great idea, as long as you have an equal mix of people on each team. How bout havin sections close to camp, that you ride in the dark, with the cave lights on the helmet idea. That whole idea of rushing through the woods sounds really good!!!!! I know i'd hit a tree though, like I did at my last trial, and I split my lip right open lol cheers from olly
  6. yey I was right for once lol Doesn't happen very often though. I was thinkin of making a pilgrimage to the Catalan area wid some mates. Where bouts in the catalan area did you go for the three day event??? and was it some top riding??? cheers from olly
  7. around Barcelona, in the Catalan area, is where the best spanish riders come from, so im guessin thats where it would be. But this is founded on no evidence wot so ever so could somebody please back it up for me, or completley put it down if it's wrong. Just my 2 cents worth. cheers from olly
  8. side saddle sounds great to me!!! neva thought of that, or backwards through a fairly easy (really really easy ) section. Where is this trial being held, and when??? sorry if you have already told everone in the forum. cheers mate from olly
  9. i suggest bout 7-9 on rock dependin g on weather conditions, and 5-7 on mud/grass depending on conditions, the drier the higher. cheers from olly
  10. it's been moved to the anythign goes section, as it was not trials related sorry Andy. cheers from olly
  11. I have really short levers, as i only have small hands lol. I got them from ajp i think. you can order them from www.bvm-moto.com. I am thinkijng of trying some longer levers, why are you looking to down size??? cheers from olly p.s vote in my poll please
  12. Those pictures are awesome. Question though were you in the main circuit with all the important people, coz those pic's look really close up!!! If so did you get a chat with any??? cheers from olly
  13. cheers guys great team work. Heath we have to get out for a ride soon, typical of the old man to get flu when I need a lift, you just can't get decent service any more. What are you doing next weekend???? cheers from olly
  14. my vote can't be very valid as I have only worked on one bike. Is there any one out there that has worked on all 5??? cheers from olly :santawink:
  15. That is a really useful account of the beta!!!! Lot of respect for you to have put it together. I ride a 01 gasgas, and live in England, but I have never rode the Beta. By the sounds of things it is the perfect bike for me, as I am 6 foot 2 as well. I have ridden the 04 sherco, and it is an awesome bike, but i will have to ride a beta, just to get the idea of one. what did you think of your old gasgas compared to the beta??? cheers from olly :santawink: Merry christmas
