  1. check the floats are the right up
  2. it`s not leaking spokes, spokes will never seal it`s the rim tape or more likely valve seating on the rim thats leaking. rim tapes are easy to fit, forget the gunge & do the job properly, it will be quicker in long run
  3. we need clarification from the acu. our ldt used sections on private land.as individuals we ride legally on the roads & lanes but as an organised event do really have to put up with all of this msa nonsense, posting notices on greenlanes is a good idea it keeps good relations with horse riders &walkers but the rest is over the top for the type of events we run,did the acu not fight our corner when this first came about, this could kill off road trials, what would happen if we ignored msa ,no permit i suppose
  4. andat i think you are on dodgy ground here go onto msa website for clarification for route, this is now the law as we found when we organised our ldt. as for visiting every household a bit of common sense is needed here, these regs really are drawn up for night time car rallies, i think more problems would be caused by running willy nilly all over the place. householders we visited were suprisingly supportive especially when we said it was a charity event
  5. for long distance trials & greenlaning great little bike but for normal trials forget it.
  6. goldfen pads have a nice feel & last a long time.other pads i have tried are too hard &do not bite i go for goldfen everytime
  7. bantams were made for delivering telegrams &villiers engines for cutting grass.end of story
  8. trials riding is an absolute bargain as regards cost. try any other motorised sport and see what the costs are, especially if racing is involved. most clubs do have day membership at an extra cost
  9. now that is a bantam! thats what they should look like
  10. what do you expect from a bantam. could not pull the skin off a rice pudding
  11. agreed, i bought mountain bike sealer & used it on trials bike rear tyres that were leaking, simple to use &bought from local bike shop
  12. i would not have a leaking bike in my house lol
  13. i had a ride on the 300, it felt light on the front, steered very well, power delivery was soft &progressive all together a very impressive bike
  14. i also spectated at the southern experts. very slippery conditions ,i thought the observing was sensible for the conditions on the day, this is the problem with no stop , if the ruling was rigidly enforced every rider would have been on a maximum or very close to it & would have spoilt a good trial
  15. 7mm allen key fits if my memory is correct
  16. oh yes, i had exactly the same problem when i first had my 300 pro the technique is to get the kickstart on its highest position on rachet get yourself positioned high lean on tree or van, good hefty kick & away she goes ,mine only starts on level ground or facing uphill, you will soon get the hang of it
  17. a cable tie on top end of spring around stand, a simple fix

  20. i had a 290 sherco & found carb float level critical for starting too much fuel makes it difficult to start plus the 290 requires a hefty kick to start 250 is a doddle in comparison
