  1. Hey. The airmix screw located on the airfilter side of the carburator must be turned clockwise to the bottom. Then turn it 3/4 of a round backwords. My carburator is the PWK with the Sherco promt system. This was made to eliminate this problem. My bike is a 2007 model. It was not fitted on this so i bought it later on. It came as standard in 2009. If you have a standard PWK you must turn the idle speed slightly up so it does not have to pick up revs from a very low idle speed. This will help. The the float must be at the right level. When you hold the carburator down-side up there should be 21mm distance between the bottom of the floats and the flat underside of the carburator housing. The pilotjet was 42 on the 2009 and 45 on the 2007.
  2. I belive the framechange to the 2010 model was done to give the bigger four-stroke engine more headspace. This made it more easy to adjust the four valves on top of the sylinderhead. The fuel tank was moved backwards to give space and to put more weight backward to balance a more heavy sylindertop near the front. I notice that the new 2016-frame has enought space for the four-stroke engine. I hope that Sherco can do some modifications to their four-stroke engine first introduced in 2005. I myself ride a 2007 3.2F. After eight years of riding it brings a smile on my face every time. Trialriding is about having good fun. Best wishes from south-Norway.
  3. Hey down under. I have a 320F my self and I would have tried to adjust the airmix screw. As you do 1-2 soft kicks first when warm and then it starts after 2 or 3 new kicks it seems to me that you give it a little more air under the 1-2 soft first atempts, when you do open up the gas a little. Perhaps it gets a little to much throught the pilot circuit. The pilot airmix screw is placed at the carburators end towards the airfilter. Try to turn this screw 1/4 turn anti-clockwise. This screw should normally be 1 full turn out from bottom position. Try this airmix screw 3/4 turn from bottom, 1 turn from bottom and 1 1/4 turn from bottom if the first advice didn´t help. As it runs normally from cold this I guess is a minior problem to fix. These bikes have character. Threat it nice. Good luck.

    4 Stroke

Hey to Charlie Chitlins In 1972 I bought my first real trialsbike. I was 16 years then. My first bike was a 250cc Montesa. The one with the white frame and big wheel hubs. In competition I was no allowed to ride this as a sixteen year old so I took out the engine and put a east-german MZ 125cc engine into it. It work very well with a larger rear sprocket on. My second bike was the 1974 OSSA 250cc. I bought this a little used in 1975. The OSSA was a bit more easy to ride than the Montesa. In 1976 I bought an almost new Bultaco Sherpa 350 which was a 323cc bike. Thats the one i used to win the championship. I believe Martin Lampkin was the first world champion ever in 1976 and he rode such a bike. Any picture I dont have on my present adresse.. So when I took up trialsriding again in 2007 after a 30 years pause I wanted something different and that had to be a four-stroke bike. I revs half as fast as the 2-stroke and it ignites not each revolution, but only every second time. So it is much clooser to your heartbeat. Perhaps that is why I am facinated with the fourstroke enigine. It is calm and it calms you down and makes you smile. And the world champion ride one. My friend who now wanted a brand new Sherco four-stroke already has the 2009 ST 320F. He also has likes them very much and wanted a new one. I think Sherco should develop the fourstoke engine further and put a good rider one the bike, for example Alexander Ferrer. I think Cabestany rode better one the four-stroke bike as he does now on the 2-stroke. It was more magic present then and the riding itselt looked more like a dance. That was all from me this time. Thanks.

    4 Stroke

New 4-stroke Sherco A friend of mine tried to order a new Sherco 320 four stroke trials bike last month through the Sherco dealer in Norway. They couldn`t get it delivered. Sherco wouldn`t confirm that they have stopped making them. So now my friend awaits a new 2-stoke 305cc. I still have my 2007 3.2F and I find it very fun to ride. Last week I made a change to the engine that has transformed the bike very much. I did put a restriktor plate between the cylinderhead exhaust outlet and the exhaust pipe. This is a 3mm thin washer with an outher diameter of 43mm and a 24mm opening in the middel for the exhaust gas. The Sherco exhaust pipe has a 36mm internal diameter so this reduction looks quiet much but the Honda 4RT has a lot thinner exhaust pipe than the Sherco. This restriktor plate has taken away the wildness of the 2007 model. Now it is very much controllable and smooth. A couple of years ago I also installed the Kehin PWK 28 with the SPS system. This came on the later bikes. So if you have a 2007 bike, and you find it to wild and a handful as many say they find them, I would recommend to try this small change. Have a washer made and try it out. For me it is another bike now. I am 57 years old and Norwegian trials champion of 1976. Best wishes from Norway

    Sherco 320 4T

Starting technic My 3.2 F 2007 always starts very easely. It is a technic with these engines. Do not rush. You have to first let the kickstarter go slowly to the bottom so the piston also gets to bottom position. When cold I always have the choke on. Mine has a 42 pilot and the airmixscrew 360 degrees out from bottom position. Try also 270 degrees out from bottom position. When you press the kickstarter do it even and firm and give throttle when the kickstarter hits the bottom. I do often stand on the bike when I hit the starter. If you do not succed try again in the same manner. Do not rush. Check also the floater hight if this does not helpt.

    Sherco 4T?

I am 55 years old and not an advanced driver, but still I love my Sherco 3,2F. I have had it since 2007. The World Champions rides four-stroke. Why shouldn´t we?

    Sherco 4T?

Valve adjustment on a 2007 3.2 F Kasti asks 30. jan if the valve clearance can be adjusted on a 3.2 2007 model without taking off the motor. Yes it can be done in the following manner. 1. Take off the exhaust pipe. 2. Take off the front bolt holding the motor to the frame 3. Then take off the bolt holding the motor to the the underneath of the frame. 4. Then take off the bolt holding the cylinderhead to the upper frame. 5. Then loosen the plastic fanhousing carefully and push it upwards 1,5 cm. 6. Now loosen the two 6mm screws holding the black valvecover 7. Now there should be enough space underneath the fanhousing so you can tilt the motor forward 1,5cm so the cylinderhead top edge comes just underneath the radiator edge 7. At this stage you can now move the valve cover to the left side so it comes clear of the frame. Take care so the rubber sealing underneath the cover is not damaged. Press the radiator hose slightly forward so the cover comes clear. I have done it several times. It is a fantastic machine giving me a lot off joy. Good luck

    Sherco 4T?

In Norway one 2011 3.2 F is sold. This is the buyers 3rd Sherco 3.2 F. He had first a 2007, then a 2009 and now a 2011. I am considering buying my 2nd one. These bikes are so fun to ride.
  10. I have a Sherco myself and have experienced the same problem. I have taken a T-40 Torx bit and placed in the unbracoopening. Since the aluminium plug i soft (aluminimu) you can gently hammer the bit to the bottom off the exiting unbracoopening. Then you can unscrue the plug easely. Hope this will work for you.
