  4. today i took the bantam out for the first proper play about the field and a few rocks, it was going good the bantam was pulling well and i was doing ok ;) and as i was doing well hoping about the place i did it one more time before i went home, i went up to the step witch is no higher than 4 foot ( i had been doing this all day) anyway i went for it one last time! it all went wrong the back wheel slipped i lost balance and in result the bike land on me and twisted my knee it hurt like hell! i got up pick the bike tried to kick her over and my knee was taking the presure so i pushed it and hoped along with the bike when i got home i noticed that all my hard work and time put into the bantam was pointless the bars are bent levers bent marked all the paint etc.., and me well as i wright this i am just home from the hospital witch crutches and my knee all strapped up! have an x-ray tomorrow hope its not broken! the bantam still lives bars need replacing that's all.

the worst news of all i am not aloud on the bike for at least 2 weeks if its not broken! all this time and i still have to wait!

all been well the bantam will be back out :)

    cheers mikey

  5. hi all thanks for the info and tips its been great today i put the engine together with dad, but her in the frame frame and 4 kicks later she lives! i love the smell! a tad loud as i haven't got my exhaust set up yet... that's next, anyway just some pics to show you how its looking all parts are hand made IE mudguard stays brackets etc..... well not all but in total the build has cost me just under £450 to build and its been great doing it i cant wait to get out on her!! many thanks mikey

  6. You won't like the steering so much when the front tyre hits the exhaust pipe or the frame tubes every time you load up the front end

hi i know what your saying but it will miss i can tell you now i have had bantams befor and always worked them like this? maybe a mjust difrent but it works

  7. the subframe has been shortened, and i know the front end looks wrong bit its how i have set it up with the fork legs the wrong way round it gives me more direct steering i have done this on my c15 too and it works great and no bother at all..

  8. have a look at Yorkshire classic members section there are about 5 bantam 'conversions' on there. yours appears too short and too high. the swing arm needs to be much closer to parallel with the lower frame loop and you want a wheelbase about 50 inch ish

hi there i have seen the other bikes, i was hoping for a short subframe with a high ground clearance but i know the shocks are far to big and the forks seem a bit big as well...

    thanks for info
