  1. Thanks for the replies guys. Finally I decided to give Metzeler's "6 days extreme hard" a go http://www.metzeler.com/site/uk/products/tyres-catalogue/Me-6daysextrem.html Let's see how it performs.
  2. I have a 2010 Beta EVO 300 4T adapted for enduro riding cause it's the best combination that suits my riding terrain and physical constitution.
  3. Thanks that's what I was thinking... Does anybody know if a 90/100/21 tyre would fit in my 2.75/21 rim?
  4. Hi there! I'm look for a front tyre with excellent grip for trailing over rocky, wet terrain. Actually I use Michelin trial competition but I'm not happy with it for trailing, specially when cornering as it loose grip very easy when leaning over hard, rocky trails and over wet rock step downhills...(I'm fed up of kissing the floor ) I think that maybe an enduro front tyre would better suit my needs.. what do you think? Tyres like: Michelin HP4 http://www.michelin.co.uk/motorcycles/michelin-starcross-hp4?fromTyreSelector=true&terrain=rocky&fromTyreSegment=5 Michelin Enduro competition MS http://www.michelin.co.uk/motorcycles/michelin-enduro-competition-ms?fromTyreSelector=true&terrain=rocky&fromTyreSegment=5 Dunlop D908RR http://www.dunlop.eu/dunlop_uk/mc/tyres/off_road/D908RR.jsp?make=-1&model=-1&year=-1&width=90wm&height=90ar&rim=21 Dunlop Geomax MX71 http://www.dunlop.eu/dunlop_uk/mc/tyres/off_road/Geomax_MX71.jsp Would these tyres work fine with low pressure same trials tyres? Sorry guys but I'm quite confused
  5. 6.5psi is too much...? but, i'm talking about the Front tyre..
  6. Hey, what´s up? I use a Michelin trial compettion fron tyre with still 1/5" (5mm) knobbles, I´m not sure if is just paranoia but I have the "feeling" that I don´t have too much grip. I set the pressure at 6.5 psi How do you know when a tyre is over and need to be replaced? what´s the limit? I ride mostly over hard terrain, wet rocks with lots of stones, no mud. Would do you suggest me to keep with Michelin or better try Dunlop? Cheers
  7. Problem solved. I've cleaned up the carb, set the nail at the bottom slot and turned the mixture screw 4 turns from full closed. The bikes runs awesome Cheers
  8. Hi mates I have a problem with my '10 evo 300 4T. The bike suddenly stalls when at iddle, it does it randomly, sometimes after 1 min. sometimes after 30 sec. If I increase the tickover (1500 rpm) I can hear the failure but, as the revs are high, the engine keep running. seems like the fail last just a 1/2 second or less. At 1200 rpm the bike just stop running when the failure happens. I discard electric issues because with the cold starter fully pull out (even with hot engine) the failure Does Not happens. A soon as I pull in the starter, after few seconds, the engine stop running again. I've took out the carb for cleaning and I've passed a nail trough all the little holes and jets. I'll leave it overnight submerged in petrol. Any other ideas? Also, I've checked it out that my jets: Main: 120 Pilo:t 27.5 Other one similar to the main that i have no idea whats for: 60 Nail: third slot from botton Air screw: 2.5 turns from fully closed I read somewhere in this forums that Evos comes too lean from factory, So which would be a good jetting for this bike? I run it at sea level. Thanks, any help is welcome
  9. Hi I've just tried to install a long ride kit for a Beta evo 300 4T 2010 but it seems that it doesn't fit properly. the back side it´s fitted at the sub-frame bolts, that´s ok. but the front side doesn´t settle over the frame there is about 1 inch between the bottom of the front sideof the aux (wich is fixed just by an elastic ring) and the chasis-gas-tank of the bike I checked out the reference of the kit and is the right one for my bike...at least the instructions. Is it that normal? or the maybe they have sent me the wrong model even the instructions are the right one?
  10. Thanks guys! it was an air leak between the carb manifold and the carb union hose, the hose clamps were too loose and the carb was a little backwards. I pushed the carb in place, tighten the clamps a bit and... problem solved!
  11. Hi guys My beta 4T, when ride at medium speed and I shut off gas i can hear some "bangs" through the exhaust.. Is it that normal? or should I tune up the carb in some way? Thanks mates.
  12. Hi I'm about to get my 2010 evo 4T and after reading everything I can on this forums about this bike I decided to order an aftermarket kill switch because seems like the OEM one is a piece of crap. My question is: is it worth to get a theter style one (just in case i fall off, wich I will) Or just a normal one, like yamaha style? thanks
  13. Ok, so the only one way to first empty the aux tank in an evo (just to have better centre of gravity asap) is by installing an aftermarket fuel tap between the main tank and the T fitting, right?
  14. Maybe is possible to install and aftermarket fuel tap in the line between the main an the T fitting so you can choose wich fuel line you want to use, the one that comes from the Aux (wich has its own tap) the one that comes from the main (with the aftermarket tap) or both. Are you sure that the evo 4t doesn,t have any tap for manually close the gasoline to the carb? I'm still waiting mine..
