  1. Okay, now I feel silly - found the whole deal on B&J Racing and will likely call them tomorrow, unless there are other suggestions??
  2. Hey, Okay, I have an old Reflex with a perpetually sticky throttle. I have cleaned and lubed the cable and the throttle to no avail. My guess is that the cable housing is crimped somewhere and that the fix is a new one. Problems: first, how does one remove the cable from the throttle assembly? Doesn't seem possible to get the ball end through the housing; my guess is that Honda designed it that way. Assuming that, it seems near impossible to get a replacement cable, so what can I do for a replacement throttle cable + housing + tube? Sources? Part #s? Replacements/substitutes?
  3. I have logs of various sizes and a homemade teeter totter, which I like enough to design a bigger one. Also some nice stone steps and walls. The 2 X 4 thing looks like a good exercise. Try setting up a course with buckets or cones.
  4. What we call this sort of rider around here is . . . a friggin' idiot. Not surprised to hear he's dead. Not happy about it, mind you, just not surprised either.

    Tlr 200 Gearing

11 tooth from an XR200 fit beautifully and took less than 5 minutes to install using the stock mounting tab. I will try the bike this way before trying to go lower, but this is more of a trail/woods bike for me, as I already have a trials bike.
  6. That is extremely cool! Thanks for sharing!
  7. Mine does that too.
  8. Here in Maine I have a wide variety of trails within 15-20 minutes, even at geared-down Reflex speeds. I have a KTM which is street legal but intimidating on tight trails, just bought my old Reflex back with the intention of building my own street legal "long ride" trials bike for local trails. Given that the bike was originally imported as street legal, it will be much easier to register than something exotic which "may be" street legal in certain circumstances. Reflex has the advantage of already having things like wiring and switches for brake lights, turn signals and horn. Right now it's not much to look at but I will post a picture when it's done.
  9. Looks like a nice fix for my old dented steel tank. Thanks!

    Tlr 200 Gearing

Had a TLR for several years, then sold it. Am in the process of buying it back. Hence, I have no bike in tha garage to consult when I have these questions.

    Tlr 200 Gearing

Dallan Motorsports in Canada used to offer a 9 tooth, but it takes some ingenuity to attach it to the bike (circlip, but no countershaft groove to hold said circlip). If an XR200 sprocket fits (don't know but am willing to try), then 11 tooth sprockets are available from Dennis Kirk. What I need to know is whether the Bolt Circle diameter on the rear sprocket is the same as an XR200? And if not, what are my options for rear sprockets?
  12. Hey All, Greetings to you of the forum from the great and piney state of Maine! I have had a couple of trials bikes over the years (Reflex, 4rt), but have yet to develop into a *real* trials rider. Seem to have caught the bug again as of late. We'll see where it takes me this time. In the meantime, I am pleased to be associated with all of you.
