Can’t see anyone coming close to dibs. Unless he has a serious mechanical issue. He knows he’s got the measure of jack price, just needs to focus on low observation, I would think a ‘steady’ pace for him won’t be more than a couple of minutes behind Jp and Jp!

    What’s happened to dan peace?
  3. I would love to see him crack the top 5 but I think he’s had his best chance. Always thought he road best on a gg
  4. It’s all a complete pile of pants! We’ve all had this discussion many times over. Just put a 90 second time limit on it and let them carry on! Simple and clear. If they are out of time it’s a 5 and that’s that. They same riders will still finish in the same position. No arguments, no did he, didn’t he. Even down to club level. Let them do what they want. It won’t make any difference to the average club men anyway as they can’t to the trick stuff!
  5. Fair enough, but you don’t get foot peg mounts bending on a trs. Anyway, let’s not worry about it considering the latest news..
  6. Build quality dubious compared to the trs mind
  7. Hi. Anyone else experienced problems with the front brake? My 18 Factory evo has a ***** brake. It almost takes a few fingers pull to lock the wheel. It feels slightly spongy but not serious. It just seems like the pads aren’t biting at all. A mate of mine said the original pads from new are too harder compound. Any ideas/recommendations? Thanks
  8. Why spend 10k on a vertigo titanium when a trs, jotagas or gg is virtually the same weight!!!
  9. Hi Andy. Whatever happened to the Toby Martin appeal?
  10. Just to clarify gents, the bike is as sweet as a nut on low revs, but when revved under load it does make a pinking/faint knocking noise. I’m fairly sure it must be carb issues!!!
  11. Morning all. Recently bought a little used 18 factory evo 300 that when revved under load the engine almost ‘pings’ as if it’s running a little lean. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it carb adjustment/setup needed or is this just the way they are? Thanks
  12. When do we expect to see the 19 factory? Any idea on projected price?
  13. How do. Are there many differences between the 300 factory bike between the 17 and 18 models. A mate of mine who has had both says the 18 is the much better bike, suspension, clutch etc. Reading up on the specs and claimed improvements there doesn’t seem to be any difference?!!! Your thoughts please. Is there 18 spec factory bike a big improvement over the standard black model?
  14. I’ve got a 17 RR 280. It’s done ssdt and Manx twice as well as usual stuff and it’s spot on. Only 2 weaknesses are 1. Water pump seal. If you over fill level in rad it will go to leak externally if you push on down a road. 2. The pivot point on the chain tensioner is ***** and wears out quickly. Fitting a small bush will cure that. Other than that bang on. I had mine from Bvm in Stroud and they are bang on
  15. That’s good, because as nice to ride as they are, being a GG they’ll need plenty of bits
  16. FACT. Was talking to a lovely lady that saw it happen. He stopped, the whistle blew, and observer indicated a 5. At the point the crowd, realising the consequences, went mad at the decision and the observer did a u turn. Total horse ****! Surely there’s grounds for an appeal?
  17. Looking at social media and speaking to someone who was there yesterday, it appears that Marcelli was given a 5 in section 15 that if it stood would have changed the whole outcome of the world title. He was judged to have stopped, the whistle blew and a 5 was indicated by the observer. At that point the crowd kicked off big time and the observer, realising the potential ramifications of his decision, backed down and a clean was given! I don’t think we can argue that Grattarola was worth the win but sounds like Toby got shafted!!
  18. So why haven’t they done it already?
  19. I’ve got a long and when carrying 2 bikes I just fold the seats. I know your on about the compact but there’s plenty of slack length wise and I think there’s only 9 inches of length between them
  20. Bloody hell john, you’d lap it twice in that time!
  21. Truth is it is nervousness at the start, then you settle in, and it’s fine for a petrol check or 2, then reality kicks in when the top boys plough past, then the general pace takes its toll and you start to get knackered! After that it’s a case of auto pilot and hang on as best you can! Sections are of a good national standard, but the pace and general tiredness makes them a lot harder. Def try to stop and have a quick look before entering each section. Your rushing but it will pay dividends. In terms of training I found best approach was as much trials bike time as poss but what also worked for me was a lot of miles on a road push bike. Helped with fitness and stamina. Last thing I’d say is nothing can prepare you fully for it as it is unique but whilst it’s murder the atmosphere and encouragement you get from the day is as one off! just make sure your as fit as can be!
  22. Finished it today. Best bike he’s ever had was the 99 techno. You’d think the last 315’s would have been the ?’s ?’s! And who would have thought hrc would present DL and Fuji with such a pile of ? 4rt to start with!!
