Thanks Woody. I'm still not 100% sure. The seal has a lip one side, and an open side where you can see the metal spiral. Do you mean spiral-lip-lip-spiral? If that makes sense!

Hi all, been having some trouble with my 199a 350 1978. I've bought a new set of oil seals, but I'm sure which way to fit them in. I've bought the four single types from In Motion. Would someone be so good as to clear up this for me? Many thanks,
