  1. Hi, I've been reading through this topic. I am also in the process of making up a lighting/wiring harness for my Alpina. I have a Motoplat 6 pole points generator. I am not going to install a battery ( as i think was originally fitted). But need to know what ( or how to find out) which lighting coil should supply which part of the lighting circuit... I have 6 wires coming from the Stator. one to earth, one to the ignition coil. one I assume goes to the ignition/kill switch, the other three? H/light? taillight? brakelight and horn? If i get overvoltage bulb blowing issues: can i just fit 12volt bulbs. any advice much appreciated, SeaKayaker
  2. Hi, January 2014, Just read Bultaco 49's advice on removing fork oil seals. Great advice. I did use a dremel to cut the old seals. I am now sure that the seals that i have just removed were the originals: almost 40 years of service, and really well embedded in the fork ally. So very good advice. many thanks, Sea Kayaker Bultaco Alpina #213
  3. My Motobecane. Pics of the Alpina to follow
  4. Bonjour à tous ! I discovered this forum by chance yesterday! I normally ride a 1955 Motobecane here in the south of France. By chance, I found a 1978 Bultaco Alpina for sale locally. I bought it a couple of days ago! Now for a little restoration project over the next few weeks. Then to get out trail riding, and enjoy my new bike. Hope to be an active member here on the Forum.
  5. Hi, I am new to this forum. So here is my first post. I have just bought a 1978 Alpina 350 model 213: with the plan of using it for trail riding here in France. The fuel tank is glassfibre and is already suffering from Ethanol degradation. I am thinking of fitting a new tank. My questions are: Can i get a larger tank? Can I fit a larger tank? Will a Pursang tank fit? Are plastic tanks Ethanol resistant? Looking forward to your advices. Sea Kayaker
