  1. Thank you very much Billy T Being from an automotive background all I needed was some measurements to work to, I can now say the results are amazing, took the old girl to the practice grounds today and it is amazing the difference! No bogging down on inclines, no stalling on decents, no excessive smoke, and a much more responsive engine all together, and I'm well chuffed with the results!
  2. Just done my 2003 250, not smokey, throttle response is much better, a quick spin up the road flat out in top (It's road registered honest Constable) and no smoke trail, Now to get to the practice grounds and see if it stalls so easy downhill? In my opinion this thread needs a tidy up, and get rid of some of the innapropriate posts, as the title suggests it refers to the known problem! that's why people look on this thread to start with and are looking for an answer quickly without wading through posts that tell them nothing!........Until they find this pdf
  3. Fanastic write up and thank god people took the photos all those years ago! Nice to see a mechanic get a bit of recognition for a change!
  4. Bite the bullet and buy an overhaul kit, the results will be worth it!
  5. Thanks lads, I've still got a bit of fettling to do, but I'll bare these in mind!
  6. Hello to everone I'm no stranger to bikes, and my road bike is a 2003 TDM900 Yam, But lately I've had a hankering for a trials bike after a few shots on my mates Beta, so I've bitten the bullet and bought a 2003 Beta rev3, it's been used and has an odd war wound, but basically sound, so I'm in the process of getting the old girl fettled before I get serious and start practicing before I attempt my first Trial, and at 56 years old it will probably make my list of aches and pains grow by the week but I'm so looking forward to it so joining a club will be a must and a licence as well I believe, so I might see some of you soon oh and if your ever fortunate to have me observe you on a section.....your in luck!....my eyesight is *****
  7. Well at 56 it sounds like I'm just a pup three generatons at the same trial will be a memorable day for you and your family, good on ya
