  1. I've got a 2021 300 and it stalls more frequently than any other trials bike I've owned. I've played with air screw and idle speed without any real success. I've considered heavier flywheel or adding mass. Has anyone tried this or really found a solution to this problem? Phildirt
  2. Got a 2012 Ossa 281i new in 2012 and ran it until 2020 when I couldn't get parts and picked up a used 2013 300 and am still riding to this past weekend. Have had various issues but none ever fuel injection related. Weekend warrior status fwiw.
  3. BTW, I'm watching as you all arrive at a solution for this communication issue. I'm not the most computer literate so, really just haven't had anything to contribute. Fingers crossed that you solve it. "not to stray too far off topic but I just have to comment on how spotlessly clean kiwishauns Ossa is" I was thinking he must be working on a new bike.
  4. Well, great news but embarrassing and I learned a bit. I learned that I don't know anyone that owns the cable for diagnostic work but I want one. Put the word out please. Can they be made? After confirming that I had spark, cleaning the fuel pump connection, confirming that I had NOT sheared the keyway (don't drop that flywheel on your toe) , removing fuel line to the injector to confirm it was getting fuel, I 'spoon fed' some fuel to the cylinder though the spark plug hole, installed a new plug (not the right heat range but it was projected tip and resistive) and it started on the third kick. Not certain what actually did it but happy to have it back. Thanks for the help. I would like a cable if anyone knows of one that is going to waste.
  5. Thanks Canada280i. will check that also this weekend.
  6. Thanks lotus54! A sheared key would be easy to fix. Will check both ideas this weekend. What type of cable is needed?
  7. Well mine (2012 280i) is now 'down for the count'. Recently it suddenly started running extremely poorly and I barely made it back to the pits. Now it won't start. It will occasionally fire but not stay running Assuming it was a fouled plug, I checked spark. Looks excellent. Yes, it's got a 1/2 tank of good fuel. I have attached 12V to the fuel pump and the fuel pump runs just fine. I've attached 12v to where the large capacitor attaches to the harness and it does not help the engine start. Any thoughts? Is the diagnostic tool still available and does it work?
  8. So, did you get this running?
  9. I'm in Michigan USA. The ambient temperature has cooled and it's really running quite well now (except for the lack of bottom end which I'm used to). That may indicate my air temp sensor is not quite right. Adrian suggested I send in for the re-flash. I think since it's ridable now, I'll wait and do that when there's snow on the ground. If it was affordable and reliable though, I sure would like to be able to 'self diagnose' as I can all my autos. Phildirt
  10. I'm having some difficulties with my 2012 Ossa 280i and would appreciate being able to 'look inside' with the K-Scan that is mentioned in my Workshop Manual. Does anyone know if K-Scan is still available? Does is it work? Adrian at Lewisport suggested sending in my ECU. This is my only option at this point. I would rather be riding. Please help. Phildirt
  11. thanks for the info and the 'redirect'. I had searched but hadn't spelled "tyres" properly.
  12. Casual middle of the road enthusiast looking for good grip at a reasonable price. Suggestions?
  13. I tried it for a little while. VERY uncomfortable.
  14. If only the US trails market / scene was like Europe. Oh, to dream....
