  1. The trial was well organised, route marking good , observers really friendly and the sections were exactly as the acu specified , a good route for the over 50 and harder deviations for the over 40, no thought for the over 60 , not the organisers fault . I think all the events this year will be the same , it will be interesting to see if the over 60 numbers drop off? Its a shame the 50/50 route did not work .
  2. interesting reading all the comments, all I can say knowing the limeworks well, luckily it did not rain, then it becomes interesting. looked great event though, well done all involved.
  3. chris does supply a oko for the 200, i think its 26mm i have just fitted one, bike runs great and ticks over fine but i must agree with mcerem, it fills flat when you first open throttle, i was going to try lifting needle up one, or smaller pilot jet, did you try either of these mcerem, save me trying it. or any other sugestions. totalshell whats your exhaust system like, if it was running fine before this ,you could have some gunge blocking in your exhaust

    Fantic 200

just bought a 200 foward kick, has 11..53.. on 428, seems okay, not really tried in anger yet, be interested to see what others use.
  5. its really easy and it does work. remove number board or light , clip tank to forks, the pipe with black vent clips onto cables the other pipe is the feed and the vent pipe from the bikes filler cap pushes up inside this pipe,( Yes it does fit , and it does work), it draws the fuel from the aux tank first ,then the normal tank, used one last year on evo great thing, never any problem. one thing to remember is your number tapes onto aux tank, if raining washes off, you need some clear covers to wrap number in then tape it on.
  6. Graham Cambell with Mark Flowers, it was a suzuki frame with a Honda 500( i think) engine, it was a real beast but he could ride it, even won nationals on it.
  7. interesting they are selling clutch mod, why only 3 plates? had my basket and steel plates changed ,supplied by lamkins, free, admited there is a problem , basket is normal colour ,not colour in picture, hoping to reduce noise as well as improve clutch ,neither happened really. cant understand why there is a problem, the clutch looks the same as my old rev 3 , have also done clutch mod, improved rev3 no difference on evo, has anyone tryed the new clutch mod?? please comment.
  8. As the title says 2010 evo, I would like to ask ,how are people finding the clutchs, mine is terrible, wont select gears if adjusted correctly at lever, have tried different oils, have had new steel plates fitted, not alot better, anyone, fitted surfex/apico plates?? , thinking about bleeding system, will that make any difference? as for suspension, have adjusted forks stiffer, done on adjusters, one turn on pre load side makes quite a difference, the rear is soft but am sticking ith it for now.
  9. its a real shame the T H T is not going to be open to us over 50, I know alot of riders who were looking foward to it again. Do you think you will get enough riders limiting to older bikes only? you put so much into organizing and running it, surely you need a big entry ,you could run 100 plus easy .I dont think I would enter the Traders, maybe just the name, The first year you ran the hunt with 2 routes was spot on, could you not revert back to that formula, is it not about entries.
  10. will you have over 50 on modern as you have previous, its one of the best trials around, us oldies are happy to ride twinshock route. or are you aiming for the miller championship?
  11. I have new 2010 evo , i weigh 11stone and i find forks very soft, rode last week across moors hit a ditch not very fast and bottomed forks, thought i broke both my wrirsts ,was considering putting heavier fork oil in , used 5 in rev 3 no problem anyone no why different on evo ,
  12. fantastic trials, great weather, and big thanks to all observers and organisers.
  13. go to General Trials talk , this was discussed there. 29 odd comments
  14. the mods as easy as jcam says, whats the blue spongy stuff??? have read sssd prep cant see any thing about it ,whats it for. did mod on rev 3 only used it once, but must say the air box on evo , is a lot more vunerable than rev 3, am going to do it to evo. i used a tubeless tyre valve , removed centre , with rubber washer each side , just found this oldpost from tc, for rev3 but same thing If you ride a lot of deep water I would recommend fitting a drain pipe to the air box (just in case!) Buy a valve stem (rear wheel). Drill a hole at the front and bottom of the airbox (same diameter as the threaded stem). Poke a straightened out wire coat hanger down into the airbox and out through the drilled hole. Thread the valve stem over the wire and wiggle it down until it pops out of the hole you just drilled. Fit the nut and then cut the threaded stem down to about half the original size (don't throw the offcut away). Unthread the nut to clear off any sharp burrs. Refit the nut and tighten it all up (no need to seal it but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to use some silicone) Fit a length of clear piping to the threaded stem. Thread it towards the front of the bike and down towards the back of the gear lever and let it hang in the sump guard area. Fit the threaded offcut into the end of the pipe and replace the dust cap. After each submarine expedition, simply glance at the clear pipe to see if an water has been collected. Remove the dust cap to drain and then refit
  15. the 2010 evo gaurds are really brittle, had 06 rev3 for 4 years never broke one rear gaurd and dropped it many times, first outing on evo cracked gaurd sliding against a tree , as for the front, does not look like thats going to take much stick, have not worked out how to use clip ties on the beta rear. interested in ordering from abroad, any surgestions who,??
