  1. I am installing a new Mikuni and Boyesen reeds with the larger spacer block (moving the air intake bot aft a bit). Now my new carb won't fit between the carb boot and the air intake boot. Has anyone done this? do you have to trim 1 cm off the air intake boot? Thanks in advance.
  2. I believe so, barely any setback, and if you are looking at them from behind, they tilt up a bit on the ends. About 5 inches high, aluminum, welded closed ends, and no crossbar.
  3. Thanks fellas, I'll try out my existing ones before I make any changes.
  4. I'm going to try classic trials on my new to me TY250. How wide is too wide? I just got a great pair from a friend that are 34.75" wide. that seems pretty wide, but, they have a shape I like. I can't cut them down much because of the narrow grip area. Thanks for your thoughts, I'm brand new to this.
  5. As far as shocks go, is the idea to just get the right spring rate and have the plush damping? At the first meeting, I'll ask around about shocks, for all I know mine are suitable. I'll be ordering some IRC tires eventually. Freshening all the fluids, replacing original cables and drum pads and some taller bars. Otherwise, my little blue bike is in pretty good shape. First two stroke I've ever had that started on first kick every time, all I can figure is it must be out of tune haha.
  6. Hi guys, thanks for the advice. I plan on hitting the first event in March which is the one in Washington, GA I believe, and I already have some new bits on order from B&J. Cheers and happy trails!
  7. Greetings from Savannah, GA. I just got a '76 TY250 and I look fwd to some vintage trials this year. Now I need to get her ready for action, so a few performance tweeks are in order. After I get my garage finished haha... cheers, -Dave
