  1. Ok - this forum doesn't allow the upload of incompatible file formats. K-Scan.pdf
  2. Not sure if this K Scan software has uploaded properly. I will send a second reply which may be more useful. Good luck. 3. Reading the previous posts it looks like you have added a battery assist system for better starting. Below is a wiring diagram from Birkett Motosport in the UK. I have fitted this system to my 2015 Tri300 and it has made a huge improvement in starting. 9V Easy Start Wiring Diagram I have attached a Word document with some photos for clarity. 9 Volt start assist system.docx
  4. Check the air fuel ratio and maybe look at leaning (reducing the fuel) the mixture down to around 94 - 95%. Doing this improved the starting on my 2 Ossa’s.
  5. Hi. I have tried to upload the KScan software but having some trouble. Someone else may have better luck? Sorry.
  6. P.S. - grind of the locking tab on the female half body. This reduces the pressure when trying to detach the diagnostic cable from the bikes connector plug. And when detaching always pull on the connector plug not the wires which are very delicate.
  7. Go to: http://www.cycleterminal.com/hm-sealed-series-090.html You only need the 6 pin female half body. - or 4 pin half body for the 2012 model Ossa. It's also worth buying extra pins and sealing plugs for the wires (see bottom of page for extra terminals & seals). Good luck.
  8. Hi All, Just an update. I received the new FTDI serial TTL-232 USB Cable over the weekend and grafted the terminal plug from one of my earlier failed FTDI cables and plugged it into my TRi300. It works ! See attached photo's. Thanks.
  9. Hi, Phil, It looks like ossabc63 has found a cable solution. Have a look under the topic 'Ossa TR280 Software'.
  10. Hi. Go to www.elmwoodelectronics.ca. And use the search box to locate the cable (as described above) and add to your cart & checkout.
  11. Excellent & thanks. I have ordered this cable so will see if it's 3rd time lucky after trying 2 previous FTDI cables! By the way - do you have the wire connection scheme so that I connect the correct wire from the cable to the bikes connector?
  12. Standard exhaust on the TRI 300. the Explorer parts fit on the 300 nicely without any modification required.
  13. The COM port matches, plus have previously tried bridging blue & green but still no luck. I think I am running out of variables to try, so may need to ponder this and try again later. Thanks all for your kind input. BTW - my bike is a 2015 TRi 300 with my old 2012 Explorer plastics, tank & seat on it. Like my other bikes it gets a good pampering to keep it in new condition and operating as best as it possibly can.
  14. Hi, I have tried all the Com port options 1 -10 as well as Auto. If you have the Btwice cable can you check the port settings to see if they are the same or different to mine - as attached? Thanks.
  15. Hi, I checked my drivers and all seem to be correct (see attached image). I have 2 x FTDI cables (A) USB-RS232-WE-1800-BT_0.0, and (B) USB-RS232-WE-1800-BT_5.0. I also have 2 x laptops - 1 x Sony Vaio with Windows 10 - which is the one I have snipped the attached driver details from, and 1 x old Dell Inspiron with Windows XP. I also have the FTDI driver (for XP laptops) on this laptop and the system shows it installed and working properly. The problem is that with both laptops and both cables I still can't get the K-Scan to see the ECU. I have tried all possible variations, so I am still suspicious there is a difference between the generic FTDI cable and the Btwice cable. If anyone has any suggestions they would be very welcome. Thanks. FTDI Driver details for Windows10.pdf
