    Thanks for all your comments. Now I’ve looked at the forks they do look a bit odd...may be wrong. Exhaust is a definite job to do ( bit old for a racer boy) I like quiet. recomendations for footrests?. I intend to strip it down replace what’s needed. Tyres, will these be any good on dry loose almost desert ground as when it’s finished the plan is to ship it out to one of the driest regions of Spain (yes I know it’s like taking sandwiches to a picnic) They are a lot more expensive out there.

    Runs and rides well. Exhaust is a bit loud, only advisory on the MOT said the same. Will look at changing it to original.

    it’s not quite as good as it looks in the pictures but seems a good bike. not sure where the exhaust is from.

    Hi just bought a Cota 247 and would like to get an idea of age and what MK it is when buying parts. Its frame number is 21M0519. any help appreciated.
  8. Hi Just got round to replacing the Montesa I had stolen 37 years ago. Mainly as a renovation project but I intend to have some fun with it. just need to learn to ride again?
