  1. Hi, I'm looking to buy a used Epure sport. The 2020 bikes are £1500 cheaper than the 2021 bikes. Was there much change from 2020 to 2021, all i can see is in reviews is the forks are better and there were small refinements to the power delivery on the 2021. Also is there a built-in hour meter or an indication of how many charge cycles it has done?
  2. I already have a sherco st300 but want something I can ride in the garden and woods without people getting upset. I was thinking the same breagh but I'd rather not get used to not having a clutch. Inch perfect do try out days on the electric bikes so I may book onto one of those.
  3. Thanks for your reply, i phoned up inch perfect trials just after i posted the question here. They were very helpful. Basically the 2020 model and newer hasa proper diaphragm clutch, better suspension, frame and batteries (that give more run time). The motor is more powerful too. The 2019 and earlier have no clutch, the clutch lever is just basically a switch that cuts power which in a way is sort of like a clutch in terms of disengafement but definately not in terms of feathering and inertia of a real clutch. i think I'm going to hold out for a used 2020 to come available
  4. Hi, I'm considering buing an electric motion trials bike but can't justify the money for a new one. I've seen a 2018 EM sport one for sale but can't find out all the information i'd like on it. What type of clutch is it, a mechanical one like an normal bike? How can i tell the state of the batteries and are they easy available if they need replacing?
  5. Thanks for the replies, yes i thought maybe its running lean but why so much carbon build up? How can the ignition timing go out with a CDI and how can i advance it?
  6. Hi, I rode the bike for most the day a few weeks ago and After using it for a few hours it became very hot, It would bog a bit when the throttle was opened and seemed to have less power, the engine smelt hot and the exhaust silencer was too hot to touch. After lunch I refuelled it and it seemed better and didn't get as hot but still seemed too hot. The cooling fan cut in as expected but I've since found there was only water in it and not specific coolant. I hadn't used it for over 4 months before that so the fuel was probably a bit stale. I have checked the water pump impellor and all is well, I have the carb off and will clean this, I've taken the barrel off to check for partial seizeing and to check conrod play as I suspected it was running lean. All is ok, bore/ piston good and the small/ big ends are fine. The only thing is the top of the piston is very sooty and so is the inside of the head. I'm new to trials but have mx bikes and I'm used to a browny colour with no soot on the piston crown. I now realise ive been running the oil too strong at 40:1 but the soot build up and hot running can't be down to this. Could it be as simple as stale fuel? how does the vacuum fuel pump work, could it be that? Any ideas would be gratefully received. Rob
