  2. I have recently changed the oil in my evo gearbox. I have used putoline oil. the previous owner used automatic transmission fluid. the problem i have is when the engine is running i am having real trouble finding gears and most of all neutral. When the engine is turned off i can find all gears. any ideas, thanks.
  3. Its not a big job mate, took me 30 mins tops,There is a casing bolton the underside which means the plate has to be removed, when removing the last bolt on the plate just be careful as they can fly out and go missing ( as mine did )!!!

  5. Hi Ive had a Dave cooper rack on my 54 plate Focus for the last four years. My bike not only sits well against my car but also doesnt obstruct the lights. I bought the towbar off the net and fitted it myself in a hour. I have the ball type. I regularly travel long distances with my bike and have never had any problems. hope this helps,
  6. As the othe two have said BVM are fantastic in my book. I recently needed a rear brake master cyclinder in a mad rush as I had pre entered a trial when mine went down. after a phone call on tuesday the goods duely arrived on wednesday, from stoude to sheffield, 30 mins work and i was up and running.....rode the trial and won it by miles ( well that bits a lie but hey ) top service and i will deffo use BVM again... cheers Leggins
  7. hi ive been thinking about buy ing myself a new beta. thats why i read this thread. Do I buy a 08 or wait for the 09 launch in november ? As Moulder points out is it going to be minimal changes from the previous years model ??? ( nice change of carb and about time on the 08) Ive been quoted

  10. Dougie pumpkin is quite right good tuition comes at a price. I taught Mr Pumpkin all he knows ( over the bars, wheelies on steep inclines etc ) and come to think of it he never did pay.... is this why he missed my name from his list of tutors
  11. He has checked the fly wheel and alls well there. As for the piston ring theory well that was my first thought. I will have a word and pull the head off it....ahmm thanks to all for your advice, will keep you posted cheers Leggins
  12. A friends son has a 06 125 rev 3 which has developed a whizzing sound which seems to coming from the cyclinder / flywheel area. initally the bike lost power. He was advised to clean out the exhaust and repack the can which he did to some success as the bike regained some power but did develop this whizzing sound. any ideas......thanks Leggins
