  1. OTG summed up the TRS very well Having a '07 Sherco the TRS is better designed by far.. better made only time will tell but I will surmise yes
  2. 120 posts and the debate will continue to no end with no conclusions. As with all Moto groups, build, then divide is just the way it is. Trials is no different. Focus on the promotion of Grass roots development...getting new riders interested and a avenue to develop their skills. Heck I would get 10 riders out just to ride in my shop on many a cold winter days in central Ontario. Together it garnered a lot of interest and develop a whole lot of new skills and a few new trials riders. I did a event that pulled 70 plus riders in Ontario that was club only sanctioned .....so it can be done. Now in Northern BC and working on building a ridership base here including some trials trail development with interested people. If everyone is just going to sit and argue over sanctioning bodies do you really think that is going to interest a newb to get involved....

    Starting ?

Found my starting issue....the bolts holding the carb slide down where very loose letting air in from the wrong way. Now she starts as suppose too

    Starting ?

Its in the wording It takes a smaller "leaner" jet to keep things equal at 100:1 vs 50:1. Oil is thicker, so more oil you need bigger jet thus richer to keep things equal flow wise. So a 35 pilot would be too lean but a 40 might be just right when using a 50:1 mix vs 100:1 Plus at sea level equals more air equals bigger jets thus richer vs say 5000' As said more curious what everyone is running pilot jet wise and include oil ratio, elevation, temps, even oil type as some are thicker than others.

    Starting ?

Because I have MANY 2T engines I run the same mix in everything....I am not into making special mixes. The '07 Sherco never ever complained about a 50:1 mix. Jetting is more crucial than worrying about a little extra oil in the mix IMO 100:1 jetting is going to be leaner in jets than 50:1 hence why I am changing the Pilot jet to richen things up

    Starting ?

Just picked up the 300 and yup very hard to start but do figure it to be a jetting issue. Cranked the fuel screw out 4.5 turns and life got easier but still not where it should be at yet. Believe it has a 38 pilot in it delivered to me so will be go up in size or 2 to see where that lands me for starting. (have a 45 coming but thinks that will be too much) This is at sea level to 1000' and about 10-15c with a 50:1 mix Even hot starts it takes choke on to get life so pilot jet is off as delivered IMO Curious what others are running jetting wise vs elevation vs temps and premix ratio
  7. I would sooooo love to try a 125...just to see what the real dif is between it and the 2.9.......cause it ain't all about the power!!!! As you say it is about traction and what you can really do with it that interests me....not the power dif. A 200 is a dream to play with...can only imagine a 125. If money was endless I would likely have a 125 in the stable But when I want to trail ride the 2.9 grunt is soooooooooooooo nice Maybe when I get to the BC coast I'll find one to try Love to hear the ride report ShercoRider:thumbup:
  8. Nice Now I see why you have the mud kit installed just a wee bit greasy out there. Good stuff
  9. LewisportUSA is one dealer that can get you fitted http://www.lewisportusa.com/parts_wheels.htm Price $750 plus or minus depending on exchange rates I think the Olle is around $450 +/- My Sherco dealer (Neil Carter Cycles) ordered it direct from Belgium and had it within 2 weeks Other shops http://www.rypusa.com/ http://www.tryalsshop.com/#ecwid:category=...amp;sort=normal or check with your local dealer
  10. Well just put one on my '07 (after the stock one blew the internal seal/bushing then broke the shaft) and I love it.....big big difference from the stock one.(I would say less difference with a '09 or even '10 stock shocks) Much better adjustability and the sucker is 100% rebuildable as ALL shocks should be by todays standards. If you do not mine the price and plan on keeping the bike for a couple of years ....go for it...make sure you get the proper spring for your weight. If you do not like it you can at least adjust on it internally which any suspension shop can easily do.
  11. How about a ride report????? first impression......
  12. I have just switched from 3w to 5w and it is a BIG difference Could not get any change using the clickers with 3w (too little compression and too fast on the rebound) so switched to 5w and got the clicker so I like it in a middle setting......so if your clicker is on either end of the spectrum you can slightly change the oil weight either way to get a effect ...it is subtle and takes a good "feel" My oil level is as mentioned in above post...I will only do it by measured oil height and never ever by volume
  13. I'd say Cabs is having FUN on the new bike .....which says a lot about the bike, I would say. http://www.albertcabestany.com/ And if he is having fun and producing results.... well....big congrats ... now everyone go out and buy a 2T
  14. The '05 is a normal hiem set up the rubber seals on the bushings make it seem rubber mounted.....knock them bushings out first then knock out the hiem bearing out as mentioned above
  15. As Bob stated use Shell premium (try and find a dedicated pump or put the first few liters into your car before filling the jerry can) Esso premium is my first choice. Avoid all Sunoco fuels same with Pioneer stations. Blends with ethanol are suppose to be posted on the pump as such but???? Shell and Esso your good with the 91 premium Beyond that race gas
