  1. Go down the head spacer , flywheel weight ,slow throttle route all good .But the thing i have found made the most difference is a packer between reed block and barrel ,it,s cheap dead easy to fit and a gasgas part and makes a massive difference (credit to lowbrow for this mod). It works by lowering crankcase compression . Try all these and you will have a bike as smooth as silk
  2. Good evening Most questions get answered on here, you've just got to ask or look through previous posts. cheers mike
  3. Hi It is the Hurran trial on Sunday near Birdlip .I Don't know if the entry list is full yet but damn good trial normally . Try getting the details of western centre acu web site, cheers
  4. Hi can i make a suggestion for your dates meeting, that you look at the Western Centre's dates already confirmed. And suggest that your Centre clubs based in the south don't clash with them,as i know lots of riders try to ride both areas. As a western centre rider and some one who helps organize trials i find the lack of communication around dates really frustrating, and then you have the amca!dates as well . It seems we are all fighting for entries of a finite number of riders, rather than centres and clubs helping each other. This post is in no way trying to be critical of your good selves.Best of luck!
  5. Hi is there anybody out there who would like to come along and take some photo's of tomorrows John Draper memorial trial held at Langley hill Winchcombe . It is a Western center Championship round and the venue is fantastic with potential for some very good pictures .(Heath are you reading this ?)
  6. It's no good i can't wait for your reply any longer David, i must go down to the motor club now the draw is just to strong !
  7. I thought you were gasgas through and through David,i wouldn't have thought you would look at video for greeves let alone be concerned about the brittle rear mudguard. You must be softening in you old age.
  8. David wot are you doing on here at 3.20 in the afternoon .You need to get a proper job ,and are you riding this weekend?
  9. Has any body else seen the new video of phil disney trying out the new Greeves. Now is it just my eyes or does the rear mudguard strangely shorten it self half way through the vid. I f so where did it go ,is it extreme weight saving or something more mysterious ?
  10. Oh yes i forgot to mention the thread on this forum on JUNE 4 2010 stated there would be a trade marquee with over 60 stands and a fabulous autojumble Enough said ( bit of wish full thinking maybe) i've heard waitrose have got a few ossa mars left . Check back it's there for all to see
  11. As i've already commented on another thread about this so called show i'll be brief . Some people are easily satisfied!!. And we are all entitled to our opinions , but there's more to buying kit than ebay or tesco. Oh yes some of us do quite a lot of organizing within the trials world. And if you don't like reading some one elses opinion then i,m surprised your contributing to this thread.
  12. You can't buy classic bike parts at a supermarket, or did tesco start selling bikes . What a stupid argument !! . I went there with the hope of picking something up from so called jumble , so was happy to pay to get in . But felt very let down by the lack of stuff there. I AM NOT critisizing the trial or the sections and i,m sure the riders did have a good time. On the whole most do every week at trials . My point is you don't PAY to watch classic trials and i would not have done if i had known thats all there was going to be there apart from a hand full of bikes in a tent . I think this event could have been held at any decent trials venue with out the need for admission charges , you may have had even happier riders if they had had real sections to ride . So enough excuses the show was poor . The trial ok if slightly mickey mouse. Now excuse me i'm of to tesco to see if they still have a couple of majesty's on the shelf .
  13. I,m sorry to say it but i agree. It only cost me
  14. Has anybody seen the latest bargain! on ebay , a very rare 250 air cooled beta that's had 2 grand spent on rebuild. Its amazing how much you have to spend on a bike to get it into such good condition
  15. Now this might seem strange to all of you but, entries are very slow coming in for our trial this weekend 20.06.10. So as i'm entry sec , and marking the trial out with a few other club members.I thought i would ask you the riders what you want the trial to be marked out like . Langley Hill is a fantastic venue usually used later in the year, so this weekend should be a nice change. The current intension is to steer clear of any mud, which will be different for this venue. But you tell us if you want it muddy or not . And come on lads get your entries in or ring me up, i promise it will be the best trial for 50 miles (tel 01242603426) All details on calender .I waiting to be told what you want for your money see you Sunday . Mike
