Just picked up this comment from a previous post about 'cheating' in a Youth A&B event ....

Inconsitent marking did not help, like tapes were moved by riders bikes, this was ok for some but not others the stop rule was used on some but not other. (use the FIM rules)

I dont condone cheating of any description but you can see why this comment above is an issue. Nowadays there are a fair few of British youth riders riding under FIM rules in Europe and World events and then having to switch when in the UK.

I am not arguing for or against FIM rules in this post, but would just like to hear the ACU's view on this subject please?

They should be allowed to stop in my opinion, saves any arguments with observers and most do it anyway and get away with it. Also how are youth riders going to learn the FIM rules if they have to keep going in a section in the UK and then be allowed to stop in the World, makes for a different style and approach to sections.
Like to see all adults stopping too if possible, old I know and probably been done a 100 times on here but some of us over 40's need abit of a blow sometimes in a section
