I've just bought this off ebay. Can anyone tell me what it is please and suggest any websites where I can get more info please.

I've bought it as a project and i'm looking forward to doing it up and riding it.

Its a minarelli engined fantic 79 - 83. look on the engine case underneath the sprocket. FM250 means it started out as 125cc. FM 350 means it started out as a 156 (called a 200 minarelli!).

The 125 had a 24mm dellorto as std. The 156 a 25mm. The barrels can be interchaged although a 156 barrel on a 125 bottom end needs the piston machining

Lee is right, it is a fantic 125 or an 200 with a Minarelli engine.

If you need more information look at www.fantic.nl

Looks like an early 125 as it has black yokes which would have the 32mm forks. A 200 had the brake plate and sprocket on the same side....

Shear luck is the answer and I am well aware of what a bargain it is. On the down side... It is a 3 hour drive each way to go and collect it.

I have to say... Its very tempting to take my other bike with me to have a play in that quary where the r2w boys play. Looks like great fun and so different from the riding round my neck of the woods.
