After buying an imaculate 250 pro i thought id freshen her up with some new plastic ware.

now having called a couple of retailers ive been informed that 03 onwards seat airbox unit is different to 02.

meaning if i want later style plastics i have to buy a new airbox?

any body have any experiance of this? how different are the later mudguards?

From memory the 03 and newer airbox/seat are much better than the 02 type. The 02 airbox has the electrics going through it and is prone to water incursion. The downside is that the last time I priced one they were about £130.
Hope this helps

I broke mine 2002 airbox and ordered a new one.
They sent me a 2003 or 2004 and fitted right on. A little fiddling but nothing serious, so i assume although the airbox has changed over the 2002 model, it still has the same configuration.

the 02 is no longer available use the 03 as its the cheapest. seat mudguard screws & tank decal included with air box lid is £264 in vat from gas gas uk. You may also need the carb adapter to 50mm dia, i machined one in ally & shrunk fitted it on the carb. the 02 box is crap and caused me an engine seizure which totalled 300 quid check my other posts for details.
Cheers Crash
