06 Beta No Spark

Hi,

I have an 06 beta 250, it will be 1 year old this month.

went out riding on saturday ran fine for an hour an a half, stopped for a drink, when i went to start it again it started then died, all my mates took the p***, saying oh stator gone, stators gone.

could not get the bugger to go again, changed the plug, checked the fuel, checked to see if there was a spark and there wasn't, so i took out my coil and tried it on my mates 07 it worked ok, then i took my console(cdi?) out, that worked ok on his. unpluged my kill button still no joy.

only thing left is the stator(i think) which has really peed me off, i take the plastic cover off after every ride start the bike, leave it to run for 5 mins and don't put the cover back on till the next time i ride.

i thought they had sorted the stator problems out.

any advise appreciated

Thanks

Will try that tomorrow

thanks

p.s

i took the stator plate off and it doesn`t look too bad, no rust pretty dry.

gonna put a multimeter on it tommorrow and see if theres any power, also when i try and kick it up if the light switch is on the light brightens, wonder if i could switch the wires around if two of the stator plates are for the lights/horn etc and two are for the spark plug.
