Most of the top world riders were in Spain for last weekends Spanish National in preparation for the upcoming worlds

I noticed that there were seven factory riders on 4 strokes in the top 11 and only four riders on 2 strokes.

Perhaps the numbers would be different if the riders had their choice of riding two or four stroke. Being factory riders means that they usually don't get to choose.

I know it's pure speculation and guess work but what do people think.....

Would Dougie have won another World Championship if the 4RT had come out two years later?

I think Dougie would have won again in 05 on a 2stroker!!!!!!! the 4 stroke just was'nt upto the job in the beginning!!
