I have run Beta 80' for over two years Starting with an 05 I will skip the obvious brakes tyres chains etc

Kickstart bolt has a habit of coming loose and the thread is not very strong so it may strip

The rear mudgaurd hanger can snap at its weld with main frame

Radiator top mount can break loosing all the water and seizure can result

Back wheel bearings are rubbish and need changing reguarly

Engine is fairly bullet proof

Great bike overall easily the best 80 on the market

Those are the only two issues I have had. I tighten and lock tight the kick starter after every ride. On our '05 after the radiator started leaking around the mount they sent me a updated version that the upper mount is on the right front corner instead of the back left corner.

For what it is IMO the REV 80 is one of the best trials bikes made. :D

I have also put on a 4 piston front brake caliper like the big bikes so little hands don't have to squeeze as hard.

I would agree with all of the above. Plus.

I tighten the rear sprocket bolts after each ride and the rear disc bolts. The rear brake pedal can come loose, I think it, either a 13 or 14 mm socket on an extension bar. I clean and re-oil the air filter after every ride and strip the carb and air line it out. Change the oil every 25 hours run on 70:1 and they are one of the best bikes you will ever buy.

The best in class by MILES !!!

Good luck,

Mike

 Well I purchased what I hope is a loverly little 05 bike yesterday! It's only had 4/5 months work. YOUR HELP was mutch appreciated as I was able to look at the specifics with sum degree of knowledge. It rides very well with loads of power and quite a lot of torque, I think I may use it my self and leave my gas gas 250 at home if my son can be prised off.

Now my son is alredy wanting to cover it in carbon os it's off to Trick Bits we go!!
