lacho Posted July 15, 2007 Report Share Posted July 15, 2007 Hello, i have a 2000 250 beta rev3 and im not sure what the previous owner has done so i want to change the transmission oil. I was wondering what grade of oil to use. In the book it says 20w-30 but the only gearbox oil i have is some 70w-80 and ep90. I also read somewhere oils have different ratings for gearboxes and crankcases and was wondering if maybe the beta book gives a crankcase rating because i have never seen gearbox oil with a rating as thin as 20w-30. Also the clutch drags slightly when the oil is cold and i'd quite like it to not do this i was wondering if people know which oils are bad for this.
