Sherco Electrics, Any Ideas

Last sunday started sherco, (in sandals, good move) it kicked back

like a shire horse. After i had run around squealing like a pig, i came back

and it was running real crap, put it in gear and went backwards.

Ah, woodruff key, nope. Cant find any thing else. Help!

Oh, forgot to say, no spark since.

its the stator mate,mine did the same

must agree sounds like stator unfortunatly not the end of the world though try here http://www.uk-motoplat.com/home.html

had 3 done by steve myself not so long ago not had a problem since

no all beta but it does sound simular and i know there a common fault on sherco also give steve a ring or if youve got a multimeter there are some tests you can do to check i asume you have checked the wiring on the cut out is not going to earth anywhere ?? just unlpug the cut out wiring then see if there is a spark if not then you could try the checks suggested on steves site good luck

Message sent to Steve,(in hope) ive been told its the pick ups on the stator, a common problem on any thing spanish, and there not repairable. Mind you sherco dealer tells me he never

sold a stator before and never had a problem with them. umm

if its the pick ups steves your man that was the problem with 2 of the 3 sators i had done takes about 14 days for the turnaround from uk but as i said not had a problem since :-))

Just got reply Steve will send one with his mod on, in exchange for mine
