Has anyone messed about with leaving one or more of the restrictors in the exhaust tosee if it makes the 4rt any softer off the bottom end. Just wondered because i really like the 4rt but would like to know if you can soften it off without throwing shed loads of money at them.

I have tried taking out the exhaust port restrictor (middle and end left in place) several times now and always end up putting it back in. It doesn't seem to make any difference, maybe a slightly different sound.... But if you take out both exhaust and middle it is louder, more 'bangy' when laboured. As for a performance change it is really hard to tell.
