I seem to remember hearing of using some kind of acid, having plugged the ends, but I can't remember what it was. Many thanks for any useful suggestions. I guess the reason you've had no replies is that it is very hard to recommend using this stuff as it is a health and safety nightmare. If you can find it..watch out it's nasty. baldilocks Posted March 11, 2008 Report Share Posted March 11, 2008 I would nt recommend for the reason HAM2 gave but also if the middle box is aluminium the caustic soda may damage the middle box. I bought some once to decoke a 314 mont exhaust but when I read the instructions they said NOT to mix in an aluminium bucket so left it alone.
