my mates aprillia 280 climber stopped working after he changed the oil, he had the bike on its side while drilling a hole in the bash plate, after that it wouldnt start,
i cleaned out the carb it fired up eventually but run like dog, the spark is very weak ,
i have a scorpa easy and i had problems with the stator is the aprillia prone to stator problems?
has anybody had any similar problems or any advice thankyou jez

sounds like the stator needs a rewind , i had the same problem cost about £85 inc p&p

It happened also to me, check the stator, it is surely that, if it is rusty try to get some paste to prevent any water or liquid entering from any part of the stator cover.(the water can also enter through the cable.
