gaz Posted August 25, 2008 Report Share Posted August 25, 2008 (edited) just been out on my new beta today.... loved it all but the fact that the clutch seemed heavy compared to some other beta's i rode today. it made my arm ache after 3 hours. other than goin to the gym, does any one know what might be cure this? The bike is 6 mobths old with little riding and also has an ajp master cylinder instead of the beta factory fitted one. The clutch itself feels great just a tad heavy. The "other Beta's" you rode, which felt better, probably all had the factory Beta master cyclinder, instead of the AJP unit, on yours. You have likely already answered your own question as to a cure. You have likely already answered your own question as to a cure. is the beta master cylinder a larger piston then? because i did wonder this. dan with regards to your clutch mod, the actual operation and feel of the clutch is bang on and really progressive. it is just the fact that the lever action is a touch heavier. nzralphy Posted August 27, 2008 Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 Guys, A larger master will make the clutch heavier and faster. A smaller master will make the clutch lighter and slower. Brand doesn't matter but 'bling' may ;o) See the previous link above about touching up the tabs - do this. I leave all the springs in. Change the gear box oil often.
