Ok, sorry for being really dumb, but i'm new to this trials thing and have seen loads of references on technique, stating..."be like a tree"

Just wondering if someone could give me an explanation as to what it means??

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Ok they are quite funny. It is all to do with a keeping your body (torso) vertical - like a tree (a tall slender one of course). Don't drop your shoulder - if you do you won't be like a tree.

I have heard this term before, gives a wierd impression to me, as you certainly do not want to be rigid on the bike! Quite the opposite!

As an add to Ralphy's thought and impression, fore and aft, staying centered over the bike and letting it work under you!
