Anybody know any good spots to ride in the Northwest area?

We have ridden at Cowm (awesome) and Hawks Nest.

Just wondering if anybody knows of any other good areas to ride??

We have a little spot near us but it is not very challenging and can get bother from the cops!

Thanks for any help guys!

Im from near Warrington but we dont mind travelling to find decent places.

Ellesmere Port and North Wales are well within our reach.

Any more info on Alvanley or Wern Ddu?

hi 77M

I live near alvanly an is a good venue. In the wet it can be very slippery.

Also you are not aloud to practice there it is the acus ground. There is trouble with the police there as well. Your bike will be taken off you if you go with out promission.

The winford club have practice days there every month or so.

Trials are also held there by the frodsham , cheshire youth and winsford clubs.

The cheshire centre has a website you will find info on the venue and when your aloud to go on there.

Cheers for all the advise guys.

Looks like itl just be Cowm and an occasional trip to Hawks Nest then unless we can get to the practice days at Alvanley.

How often are they held and are they regular?

Weathers looking promising for a good day at Cowm on Sunday anyway!!! :(

Wern ddu is a farm which has every type of terrain you could ask for! streams, moorlands, muddy hill climbs, rocks and for £5.00 all day it cantbe bad, although they do 4 x 4 treking there to at weekends so just be careful on the fire roads!

We were at Wern Du yesterday and it's a really good place to practice, it's £10.00 for the day now though.
It's the other side of Ruthin. ;)

we were told about a place called Kinnerton (?) North Wales?

I think it is the Kinnerton near Broughton just off the A55 heading into Wales?

Does anybody know exactly where it is seen as Cowm is 4x4 this weekend???

Cheers.

is Kinnerton quite a smallish place with a few long hillclimbs to the back of the place, near wrexham area, or a long way further down the country from Rochdale, because if it is the same place i am on about i have been before. but if it is a different place you are talking about i will try it out sometime.

also is 'Trevor' in Llangollen

I'm getting confused which one of them two places in wales i've been to before. on google maps it says that ruthin from Rochdale is 72 miles but then it says from Rochdale to wern ddu is like a 176 miles lol.
