I can remember having a test ride on one way bike in, 1989 (or so), it felt heavy and ungainly then, so imagine how big it will seem compared to modern stuff now. It was a new bike so I can't comment on the reliablility side of it.

As above, a hefty lump, with poor build quality.

I had one around 1992, and loved it but to be honest didnt have it for that long as it was stolen, I just remember being able to wheelie it for fun and was really impressed with the hydraulic clutch at that time, I bought one cheap not so long ago but sold it to Bill Pye as the cost of the re-build was not worthwhile (and trust me I dont like breaking up Fantics you should see the 300 ive just bought and am about to throw lots of cash at) there was a really nice one just sold on Ebay for £395.00 it had the full lighting kit and was road registered so that should give you an idea of what you should be paying, if youve bought it and need spares then Bill Pye is your man. You would be better going for a nice 305 - Great Bike.
Got to say though the guys messages before me know alot more than me, so I would go with them as I find it hard to knock any Fantic.
