I tore the medial muscle in my right calf, it controls your ability to move quickly like jump or run and even walk. Very painful ! You'll like this part Copie I get an injection in the stomach each morning for 3 weeks. So it looks like i'll sell the Evo 4-t and wait for an 2010. Not happy I really like my 09 4-t.

I hate to hear that, maybe if you tear the other one I can kick your ass!

If those opiates take their toll, I'll get the Viagra samples sent out before the wedding!

Uh,,,,, keep the bike, may be the last one you get for a while! :wall:

Edit: fixed Copey's quotes...again :moon:

Jon nice photos ! The reeds that broke in Pats bike were aftermarket, I hear that from now on he'll be using the stock reeds.

As you can imagine, I've seen a lot of reeds/cages in my lifetime, but those were probably the most mangled I've ever seen in any Trials engine, which is why nobody checked for that condition at first. You did a first-rate job of uncovering the issue. I've definately archived that cause for those symptoms in future diagnosis.....

The pros are such good sports - they all got wet in this section. They caught hell from the crowd and just laughed it off and rolled with it. Pure class all the way around.

Here is where Les Mizell and Cody took a bath... even Patrick got a wet boot in this section... good times.

So Jon, what was up with the bike? Was it like running rich and such(crappy) after it warmed up??

He ususally puts the V-Force block in the bike, so I am unsure, and never had that on the stockers or the Boyesens? :moon:

The unusual thing is that the V-Force block actually broke, which was really surprizing to me. Many years ago, when Tassanari was developing the 8-petal cage one of my Pro riders brought a couple back from Belgium to test (I think they are made in Italy). They were machined aluminum, not the phenolic resin type now, and I found them to be quite good and with minor modification, used them in some of my GP engines.

In my experience, V-Force makes a very good product that does what it is advertized to do, and I'm sure this was a fluke (I'd never heard of it before). The symptoms were like the bike was flooding out, not taking any throttle and hard to start. Luckily, Ron found the cause, as a broken reedcage would be at the bottom of the diagnostic list of possibilities.

Sherlock Holmes deductive reasoning comes to mind: "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth"........

Take a look at the matching photos. Start with the feet on the pegs. Cody's toes point downward. Pat's are flat with the pegs. Cody is stiff. Pat's knees are bent. Pat's back on the bike enough to maneuver the bars. Cody is jammed right up to the bars.

It's not that Cody is stiff - it's just he just forces and manhandles the bike. Pat plays the bike like a classically trained musician plays his/her instrument. Cody, he rides like a rockin' roller. Two very different styles, indeed.

As for Nigel's above comment. Coming for him, I'm stunned.

Isn't Cody about a foot taller over Pat? May have something to do with stance/riding position.

I talked to Cody and he said that he was taking a completley different line than Pat and that is why is body position is different.

When I first saw the photos I thought Cody had the better body position, but what do I know.
