03 280 Pro How Much Gear Oil?

hi all,

how much gear oil does my mates 03 gasgas 280 pro bike need?

what type of oil also? cheers

been looking on internert, 03 takes 350 cc,then 04 onwards take 550cc of oil is this right?

The GG official handbook recommends 550cc but if you ask most riders and Factory Kev at GGUK, 400cc is about right and stops oil blowing out the vent tube.

Not quite.. the 02 takes 350cc and from 03 and on 550cc. I know cause I have had both 02`s and 03`s

Well you will soon enough find out anyway... :thumbup: Fill to the middle of the sight window...

400cc will fill to about 3/4 of sight glass. 550 is too much and as mentioned will blow out overflow.

Change it often as it's what lubes the mains on the pro.
