I have nothing but respect for Doug , and I don’t think of him as having no sense like the topic title suggests, but reading the update report from the front page ……….

My thumb is especially swollen, but not broken and my fingers are minus a fair amount of skin and it looks like I am going to lose the nails on two of them at least.” Lampkin continued. “The problem was I crashed early on and damaged my hand which made it difficult to hold on. I tried my best to keep going despite being in a fair bit of pain, but with the heat and extreme punishment my body finally said enough was enough. Did the rock that hit him on the head leave him a bit light ? . I could see the sense in riding this weekend if outdoor title number eight was within grasp, but it isn’t.

Battered and bruised with fingernails falling off!! Tough bugger for even thinking about riding , Mike Tyson was a tough bugger, some would say not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but a tough bugger.

If last weeks report is true, I can’t see how he can be fit to ride this weekend, hope he is and most of what I read is just hype.
