just wondering what the process is?
i have a 2002 sherco 290, what sort of process would be needed to get it registered with DVLA?
also how much does it cost?
any one got any experience with it or done it?

im in the process of registering a 2004 gas gas at the mo
first thing to do is get in touch with sherco with the frame number and they wil send a letter to you ,stating the model and engine size and the year of manufactor -------------£15
next get and mot on it -------------------£30
next get in touch with dvla for a v55 form - free
next get insurance on the frame number --£100 tp/f&t
next send all docs. to your dvla local office including your driving licence for id --£88
well thats where im up to at the mo.
hopfull they wont want to inspect the bike and just send you a tax disc and a log book with your docs back
but they might need an inspection before issue ing the tax ad log book
hope this helps good luck
im hoping to do a few road trials this year
im gonna make a small reg plate for it but get a correct size self adhesive one to stick on if i get any hassle
good luck

As Andy says Plus- You will need proof of your address, such as a water bill etc.
There's a good chance that you will have to go back for an inspection with the bike. If it passes their inspection, they will issue you with a tax disc there and then.
Before you spend any money, check that you can insure the bike and then get a letter dating it from the importers. Some charge for this letter also.
