Think there is a conversion kit from Gasgas uk to take it to 225cc. New head, barrel and piston.

A GasGas dealer/mechanic told me today that 225 is the maximum (from 125.) Thinking about one for family member, in the future.

225 conversion kits cost around £600 i think, i bought a second hand 200 barrel and piston ( which is actually 163cc i think) same carb and jetting, also need to weld a flywheel weight on to stop it stalling so easy, leave out the plastic crank inserts from the 125 barrel as well, there is a noticeable increase in the power from that extra 40cc and it makes a nice useable bike

Why have you left out the plastic crank insert ???
Does this make any differacne to the running of your bike???

i was told that if you leave the inserts in it makes it too fierce, the power delivery is like an on off switch, it's a bit like that if you don't put a flywheel weight on as well, i'm sure there are other people on here that can give you the proper technical description, something to do with reducing the crank volume too much for the bigger piston or something like that
