A little E-Bay patter going on here:-

According to this E-Bay seller 315 Montesa....... (click continue in Q+A) ; ''A very famous UK ex-Montesa importer'' are offering £1,250 for a 10 year old bike.....but he's holding out for £1,500??

I think it's a possibility that he may have his head up his R's.

I did not think E bay let you do what he is suggesting he will do i.e withdraw the bike from sale after the auction has reached the end. Surely their bit about a bid being a contract works both ways... Good luck to him I think he will need it.

May be the scrappage scheme has been such a success it has been included for trials bikes ??

He had it advertised as a 2004 model all the way through until I politely pointed out that it looked very much like a '99!

We'll take that as an official denial of your offer :chairfall: :barf:

Evening Caz,

The poster of this topic only quoted what the seller is claiming on EBay:

"Q: What year is the bike you said u got in 2005 is that the year of it and would you take 1100 pounds for it or are u letting it run the auction thanks 14-Nov-09
A: the bike is a 2004 model and i purchased it a demo bike from pro cross and competetion bikes in lincoln i do have all the paperwork somewhere and i am on with trying to find it all at the moment . i would remove it from the auction for no less than £1500 . sandifords in burnley lancs offered me £1250 . i am posting photos as we speak "

I don't think the poster of this topic has done anything wrong in doing that, though I note he's changed his original post to meet your request. :chairfall:

If the seller hasn't had that offer from yourselves for the bike then, yes you are absolutely right to point that out as he's then selling under false pretences and I think it's important potential buyers are aware of that, but not sure if you're right to ask your name be removed. I would have thought it more important your name remained in quote only along with your denial of any knowledge of this :barf:

Mmmmmmm ? Registered as a business seller - Has already been offered £1250 - Puts on e-bay for a starting bid of £1000 but demands at least £1250?
Now I'm not very business minded but something just don't figure there? Mind you, he (she?) also has some lovely kitchen units for sale! Perhaps a deal could be struck? Bloke gets bike, Mrs Bloke gets new kitchen? Mmmmmmm

Bloody well said Andy,

Why are sandifords so worried bout their name been mentioned, Hang on has anybody actually mentioned their name?

I've seen a link to someone using their name, nowt other than that.

But yeah i'd appreciate the fact that someone was pointing out that there was a dodgy deal.

Why couldn't Sandifords simply say 'We nothing of this please be aware of this seller'

Nowt like helping out the Trials community is there!
