As I have 3 air cooled monos in various states of repair I am always checking out ebay as a source of replacement parts. In recent weeks I have seen mediocre examples of 201,301, 303 and 305's go for stupid money, ie £750 for a 301 in quite rough condition.

Am I missing something or has something happened to suddenly increase their value ? Can anyone explain ?

Dont knock it i've got a Beta TR34 that i was going to break up but maybe if this carries on it may be worth selling :o

Could it be something to do with people making "cheat" twinshocks out of them ???? :D

All the early mono's must be starting to reach there premium classic collectable status.
It seems a good mint mono would be edging up to £1500 to buy, about the same price as a mint twinshock.

Maybe they want the engines to fit in their 240 or 300 twinshocks
