Good find, how thinks have moved on, I recon that some of the 250 cubs kicking about would give the Honda a run for its money !
Cleaning a section is like setting fire to Joanna Lumleys shoes.

Maybe, but most 250 cubs are a lot younger than Eddys honda.

fantastic rider but heres the rub from a twinshock point of view, as soon as you use the clutch to do anything other than find a little grip or hoist a wheel IE stop the thing mid section then thats not trials like i want to see or ride. as soon as the bike stops moving forward thats it section over as far as i'm concerned.
We few .. We happy few...

Stop hop and reverse was in full use where necessary at this time. Today's twinshock trials are run no-stop but back then, anything went, no-stop had gone by about 1981/2.

I agree though, I prefer to see the no-stop style on the twinshocks.

Interesting to see how easy the sections look but as with any top rider, they make it look easy and the camera flattens the perspective. Lejeune was the Toni Bou of that time and we all know how easy Bou makes the impossible look today.

Great footage, fantastic quality for "You tube"
See Kiyoteru Hattori clapping away in approval.
He was a regular down south for a while in the early 80's on the little Honda.
Can't remember why..?

Viva Lejeune, as the Fantic boys look on.
