highland lassie Posted March 19, 2010 Report Share Posted March 19, 2010 It would be interesting to know just who is eligible for optional RTA cover at trials under the ACU scheme and well done to them if it includes the youngsters. It does cover youngsters (obviously only 17 year olds though!), but instead of just being able to sign on at the event, they have to contact the insurers to get a Letter of Approval. I've never known anyone to get turned away, but generally riders under 21 will have a loading which means they have to pay a bit more than the standard rate. spud Posted March 24, 2010 Report Share Posted March 24, 2010 I ride an enduro bike on the road and got pulled with a couple of other lads last week. I'm legal but two of the others i found out weren't. This mean't the police took more of an interest in me i feel checking my bike (brakes etc..) when they had already finished with me.
