Hi all folks, just bit the bullet and got myself a TX250 there,
tbh it never really apealed to me before cause always been into supersport and moto x, but my mates got them and i have to say,
i was out on sunday there and the fun, satisfaction and skill element was fantasic, really enjoyed myself and couldve stayed on for alot longer had my bike let me

Basically she was chucking out water from the overflow which was shot engine head o-rings so i had to stop every 5 mins or so then i called it a day

Ive done some searchng and can only really see parts for TXT, PRO models etc ..

Just wanting to know where the good places to get spares are cause i cant really find any for my bike,

Few things im looking for instance are, the o-rings , fan rectifier, reeds etc

My local cowboy trials dealer quoted my £7 per o-ring, now im new to this but to me that sounds a little steep lol

And will like, JTX or TXT parts fit my bike cause im lost , or does it go in years say ?

Any help much appreciated guys , busting to get the wee lady out again !!

Cheers Gregg ............

Gregg,
Most engine parts for the non-Pro bikes will fit yours.
JTX was 1997, JTR was 1996 but the engines are basically the same.
The o-ring price sounds a little steep to me also. You'll probably want to
replace both the inner and outer o-rings as a set. Be sure to grease them
when installing.

Jon

Hi Gregg,
addictive ain't it?

Give GG UK a call with as much info as possible - frame, engine number etc; 01298 766813
If they can't help you then you're in trouble? As for prices, trials parts/spares tend to be a bit more expensive due to the limited numbers of machines sold (on comparison to MX, road bikes etc). So the best thing to do is get out there and get more people hooked on trials - get your bike sorted and give all your road bike and MX pals a shot and reel them in! As you know yourself, you never know until you try?

Anyhooz, hope you get your problem fixed - Enjoy

Cheers for the replys guys , real helpfull ....

Went and seen the local dealer, he thought it was a sherco , cause apparently they're o-rings are that price , so after we uncrossed our wires, they wer 5 quid, you'll do me !!!

Built the wee bike back up and she feels more torquey now,

And althought i havent had her out properly, from what ive seen, shes just threw out some excess from being filled to the kneck again..

Hopefully sunday will be an alll day affair !

Cheers again guys ,
