Hi,
Im just finishing a Bantam for pre65/twinshock. Ive fitted a C15 swing arm and tyre clearance is fine.
The only problem seems to be the chain touching the tyre. I have a 4" IRC fitted.

Has anyone else experienced this? Im thinking the simplest option is to offset the rear sprocket and engine by a bit - I can use spacers on the back mount and cut/re-weld the front.

Does anyone know if others have had to do this or am I missing something??

The wheels are central and in line etc (all checked with jig).

What I done with my bantam is used the old road sprocket as a
spacer and used long bolts and on the front put a spacer between
the gearbox bearing and sprocket.With my current rebuild I have
machined the front sprocket so that it can be lock tabbed.When
spacing out the rear sprocket you will have to put a small spacer
between the rear hub and the rear brake backplate so it doesn't
rub on the sprocket.

The rear hub on my Bantam I have just bought is a full width type, not the usual type used for trials, does anyone know if this is just a cover that appeared on the late Bantams ??

Thanks Monty Jon. The C15 swing arm is the same style of fitting (internal diameter) as the bantam but the front 'eyes' (where the bushes are) are futher apart. I cut them off and re-welded closer together (made a dummy spindle to make sure they were in line).
Ive also lengthened the swing arm by about 1.5" by using the old bantam arm ends with the new C15 front section. Seems to look good, loads of tyre clearance.

I don't know that this addresses your post but I used the cub swingarm and the cub rear wheel and hub. The original Bantam wheel wouldn't fit a stock Trials tire which was my reason for going to a cub wheel in the first place. Alignment with this setup was one of the few problems I didn't have.
